A 42-year-old Japanese woman presented with upper eyelid swelling of 2 months duration (Figure 1a). She did not complain muscle weakness or myalgia. She showed no dry coarse skin, tremors of the hands, thick tongue, or loss of hair. Histopathology of the skin biopsy revealed swelling of the collagen bundles with splitted individual fibers accompanied with pale material (Figure 1b), which was stained with blue with colloidal iron (Figure 1c).Laboratory investigation revealed decreased free T4 (0.88 ng/ml(1-1.8)), decreased free T3 (1.12 pg/ml (2.73-4.5)), and increased TSH (10.34 IU/ml (0.27-4.29). Anti-thyroid, anti-microsome, antithyrogloblin and anti-thyroid peroxidase antibodies were positive.Total cholesterol (286 mg/dl) and triglyceride (342 mg/dl) were elevated. Other laboratory findings including anti-nuclear antibody, aldolase, creatine kinase, and angiotensin-converting enzyme showed normal results. Echo examination disclosed slight but diffuse swelling of thyroid gland. Chest X-rays showed no abnormality and no malignant disease was detected in CT. The patient was diagnosed as localized myxedema with hypothyroidism due to Hashimoto disease.After three months of thyroid hormone replacement therapy, the skin lesions gradually improved accompanied with euthyrodic state. We got the informed consent form the patient.

Cutaneous angiosarcoma is an uncommon malignant vascular tumor with a highly variable presentation. It most commonly occurs on the head and neck of elderly Caucasian men, while less commonly on the skin of persons with pre-existing conditions or cutaneous lesions. To date, only three reports of angiosarcoma arising on the head and neck of individuals with systemic sclerosis exist in the literature. We report the fourth case: a 58 year-old African-American female with systemic sclerosis who developed an epithelioid subtype of cutaneous angiosarcoma on the right elbow, rather than the head and neck region.

India alone, contributes about 58.8% and 81.2% of the newly detected cases of leprosy, globally and in the South East Asian region, respectively [1]. Cases were detected mainly by passive surveillance. Detection of leprosy cases will lead to a diminution of the source of infection in the community, mainly because undetected and untreated cases will transmit the disease agent to other people in the community. Pockets of high endemicity are still prevalent in a few states in India indicating ongoing disease transmission of leprosy. LCDC (Leprosy Cases Detection Campaign) is a first of its kind initiative taken by Govt of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and was implemented in high endemic districts of the country, online with a pulse polio campaign in the months of March and April 2016 [2]. It is primarily a door to door search with physical examination and identification of suspects followed by confirmation accompanied with inbuilt component of supervision and monitoring. This exercise aims at not missing any case in the community. States like Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha and Uttar Pradesh have been selected for LCDC on the basis of Prevalence Rate (PR) of districts ranging from 1-1.36 per 10,000 population. 50 districts of these states were included in this campaign.

Nonpustular annular psoriasis is a rare form of psoriasis with clinically annular ring-shaped configuration. In contrast to recurrent circinate erythematous psoriasis, which is the mildest form of pustular psoriasis, no evidence of histopathological Kogoi’s spongiform pustule formation is detected.We report a case of 57-year-old Japanese woman with nonpustular annular psoriasis for 4 year.

The Raynaud´s phenomenon (RP) is well known as the first sign of systemic scleroderma (SS) and related disorders. Its early diagnosis leads to a better understanding of the disease and favorable prognosis. The acrocyanosis is an acrosyndrome differing physiologically and clinically, that can be due to vascular etiology, systemic diseases,drugs, infections or other causes. We hereby present an elderly male patient, aged 62 years, with acrocyanosis with altered capillaroscopy, compatible with an early systemic scleroderma starting three months ago in the fingers.

Background: Skin tags are small, soft, pedunculated, often pigmented lesions, usually occurring on the eyelids, neck and axillae. There have been a few reports in the literature that the presence of skin tag is associated with different components of the metabolic syndrome.
